With its varying diameter and length options, Locked Titanium Elastic Pin is a intramedullary nail system that can bend and form compression forces in cases where the medulla canal is narrow and for fixation of diaphysis fractures. With the intention to increase the stability of elastic nails, the Locked Titanium Elastic Pin is designed with a locking hole.

Features

  • Made of Ti6Al7Nb alloy, the Locked Titanium Elastic Pin has an elastic design, which can return to its original form after bending.
  • Thanks to its bayonet-shaped design with a pre-curved tip, it provides the advantage of being able to easily pass through the fracture line.
  • Thanks to its flat, medial and lateral pre-bend design, it eliminates the need for intra-operative shaping.
  • Suitable for minimally invasive surgical approach, the nail offers application options with antegrade and retrograde techniques.
  • There is a 20° angled locking screw hole.
  • It provides intramedullary fixation with the three-point principle.
  • As an alternative to the use of AWL, the set design allows the use of drills for the preparation of entering into the medulla canal.

Indications

  • Transverse, oblique, spiral short diaphyseal fractures and metaphyseal fractures of long bones in children aged 3-15 years,
  • Fixation of the metaphyseal and diaphyseal fractures of the humerus and forearm in adults
